Callie graduated from high school, registered at UAA for classes in August.
Sarah did the Gold Nugget Triatholon, went to Mexico, and off soon to Eugene to Grandpa Lens 90th birthday party.
and Bob has been busy doing work around the house and cabin.
Merlot is in to everything so the next project is going to be an invisible fence to stop her from crewing on the plow wire harness.

Bob goes to Arctic Man...
Hes with the guys for a week of snow machining, ending with Arctic Man. He is not competing in the "event" just watching.
Merlot is in doggy daycare all week so tired is she. Last night at class the instructor thought she was sick because she was so tired. She was a gem and we are going to graduate next week, yahoo glad we are about done for awhile

Bob takes Merlot to Willow
Callie turns 18 and Merlot graduates from Puppy 1 class 1/19/11
Wow what a big day Jan 18th... Callie turned 18 and Merlot graduated from Puppy 1 class.
I cannot believe how time has flown bye. I met Callie when she was 4, and now... all grown up. Graduation for Callie is May 10th at 2:00 pm... mark your calendars!
Merlot and I graduated from Puppy 1 with a lot of fun, class started out will ALL the agility equipment, including the titter totter. She really enjoys doing more then the basic of obedience.

Doggie Daycare
I was able to find a Doggie Daycare that would take Merlot for a short term basis with the possbility of long term, say during Bobs Lawn Season.
I was very nervous this morning leaving her. She has never been anywhere like this, let alone without Bob or I. She was very scared of all the new smells and a 2 ft tall scoobie doo stuffed animal and dog murals painted on the wall. I guess it was a bit like leaving you child at the daycare or kindergarten on the 1st day.
Well I gave it until about 10:00 am before I called. I told them who I was and if Merlot was ok after being so scrared. The lady that answer the phone said "she is the cutest thing I have ever seen" she isn't scared and is playing with the little dogs. So then I thought, my gosh will she will be there when I pick her up?
They have two sides big dog and small dogs. Merlot is considered a big dog because of the breed but when they saw how little she really is even though she is over 30 lbs. This doggie daycare in Anchorage for pug rescue. Merlot was the biggest little dog, so she was queen for the day.
The young lady that went back to get Merlot came back with her and said she is the most relaxed puppy she has ever seen. Well if she only knew how Merlot really is, I just smiled and said thank you. Calm is not Merlots middle name, but when she is tired is VERY mellow.
Glad Merlot had a good time because she is going back, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Might even go 1/2 day on Monday so I can get some house cleaning without help... if you know what I mean.

Bobs mom died
Maude Flanagan passed away on Sunday, Bob and Callie are going to the funeral on Saturday. I opted to stay home to watch over Merlot and the house. Shirley Bobs sister will come at a later date to visit us and spread Maudes ashes, Maude always wanted to come back for another visit. She would have been 90 this March. She will be missed. Love you, glad there isn't any more pain.
Shirley, Frank, Matt, Bob, Callie, Lynn and Masey will attend the services. Not sure if any other family will be there.
